Privacy Policy
Asana Automation is a browser extension operated by BlackNGreen (BNG). It adds an automatic review & approval step before tasks are deleted on a fixed set of BlackNGreen-monitored Asana boards. This policy explains exactly what data it touches.
The short version
The extension does not track you, show ads, or collect analytics. It only acts on
app.asana.com. The single piece of information it sends off your device is a
record that a task deletion was attempted on a monitored board — so a reviewer can approve or
restore it.
What we collect and send
When you attempt to delete someone else's task on a monitored board, the extension
blocks the deletion and sends the following to BlackNGreen's server
(api-sys-monit.bngrenew.com):
- The task identifier (Asana's numeric task ID).
- Your Asana display name (so the reviewer knows who requested the deletion).
That is the only data transmitted off your device.
What we read but do not transmit
To decide whether a deletion needs review, the extension reads — using your existing Asana login session, within your browser — your Asana name and ID and the task's creator ID. This is used only to identify the requester and to skip the review step for tasks you created yourself. Apart from the task ID and your name listed above, this information is not sent anywhere.
What we never collect
- Passwords, Asana credentials, or session tokens.
- The content of tasks, comments, descriptions, or attachments.
- Your browsing history or any activity outside
app.asana.com. - Location, contacts, or any tracking/advertising identifiers.
Storage
The extension runs in the background and does not store your personal data, on your device or on our servers, beyond the deletion-request records described above.
Sharing & retention
Deletion-request records are sent only to BlackNGreen's own backend and are used solely for the internal review/approval and audit of changes to the monitored boards. We do not sell or share this data with any third party. Records are retained by BlackNGreen as part of that board-administration process.
Permissions, explained
- Access to
app.asana.com— to detect a deletion attempt and identify the requester. - Access to
api-sys-monit.bngrenew.com— to send the deletion-request record for review.
Children
This is an internal workplace tool and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
